Medicare is a form of health care insurance created by the government for senior citizens, along with people with certain disabilities and illnesses. If someone who has Medicare needs rehab for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will either be covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only exception is, the person must acquire treatment coming from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to commence treatment, they may also have to see their doctor who must state that rehabilitation services are medically necessary, and the doctor will generally approve what type of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment services. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual needs to be hospitalized because of their issue, as well as the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they've got to self pay.
