Medicare is a sort of medical insurance designed by the U.S. government for older folks, in addition to people who have specific disabilities and illnesses. If someone that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will either be covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The one exception is, the individual will have to obtain treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to start treatment, they may also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that rehab services are medically needed, and the doctor will generally approve which kind of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab solutions. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual has to be in a hospital because of their problem, and the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they'll have to self pay.
