Medicaid is a form of medical insurance available for many people who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to obtain this government provided insurance. Whether someone is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only depend on income however, and people shouldn't presume they don't qualify because they earn a reasonable income. For example, individuals who have quite a few dependents may be entitled to Medicaid even though they make an amount be described as a reasonable income. Medicaid can also cover the costs of treatment, if someone has been abusing drugs or alcohol and requires rehabilitation. There are numerous drug treatment facilities which accept Medicaid, but different states have different rules for what types of rehab are covered. Some states only include outpatient rehabilitation services for instance while other states cover more intensive rehabilitation like a residential stay in long-term alcohol and drug treatment facility. If anyone is involved with drug abuse and wants help, they can use their Medicaid insurance coverage to acquire this treatment. If they do not have Medicaid and in addition don't have the funds or another form of medical health insurance to cover rehabilitation, they can determine if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then enroll in an alcohol and drug treatment program which is approved in their state.
