Medicare is a sort of health care insurance developed by the government for older persons, in addition to people who have specific disabilities and illnesses. If someone who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only real exception is, the individual will have to obtain treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to begin rehabilitation, they will also have to visit their doctor who must state that rehab services are medically essential, and the doctor will usually approve what sort of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehab solutions. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual must be in a hospital for his or her problem, and also the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
