Research shows that women could also become involved in drug abuse more easily than men, and so are more vulnerable to illness due to drug abuse problems than males because of this. Much like coed programs, alcohol and drug rehab facilities that provide treatment solutions to women help women through detox and withdrawal as a 1st step. After this step, counselors help women concentrate on both general and gender-specific problems who have prompted their drug abuse. Women also may take advantage of the positive support from other female peers, and some programs which offer rehabilitation services to women also provide client beds for their kids.
