A group home for anyone who has tbeen involved with drug abuse is a facility which provides continuous support and assistance for people in recovery. A group home is usually for troubled adolescents, but there's also group homes for people with a mental health disorder or who are encountering behavioral problems for example. As an alternative to sending individuals who are struggling with drug abusedrug use or recovering from drug abuse to an orphanage, asylum or other similar facility, a group home may help provide an acceptable environment to help sustain stability within their lives and have counsel and assistance within reach around the clock. People who reside in the group home might be involved in rehabilitation services whilst in residence, or could be taking measures to get their life setup outside of the group home in order to at one point live on their own outside the group home. For example, a troubled youth who's been in recovery or has recovered from substance abuse can try to get their GED or acquire work. A group home is not really a long-term or permanent option, yet it's a sensible short-term option for individuals who making the effort to get their lives back together.
