Medicare is a sort of medical insurance created by the U.S. government for senior citizens, along with individuals with certain disabilities and illnesses. If someone that has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The one catch is, the person will need to receive treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start rehab, they can also get to visit their medical doctor who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the doctor will usually approve what type of rehabilitation the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehab providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual must be in a hospital because of their issue, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
