Medicare is a form of medical health insurance designed by the federal government for older folks, along with individuals with specific disabilities and illnesses. If a person that has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The only real catch is, the person must obtain treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start treatment, they may also have to visit their primary care physician who must declare that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve which kind of rehabilitation the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of treatment providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual should be hospitalized for his or her problem, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation inside a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they'll have to self pay.
