Medicaid is a kind of medical health insurance available for individuals who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to acquire this government funded insurance. Whether someone qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only depend upon income however, and individuals shouldn't presume they don't qualify just because they earn an acceptable income. Some states only include outpatient treatment services for instance while other states cover more extensive rehabilitation like a residential stay in long-term drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. If someone is involved in drug use and needs help, they can use their Medicaid insurance coverage to obtain this help. If they don't have Medicaid plus don't have the cash or some other form of medical insurance to pay for rehab, they can see if they qualify for Medicaid and then enroll in a drug treatment center that is approved within their state.
