Medicare is a type of health insurance designed by the federal government for senior citizens, and also those that have specific disabilities and diseases. When someone that has Medicare needs rehab for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a great degree. The only catch is, the individual will need to receive treatment from the drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to begin rehabilitation, they will also have to visit their doctor who must state that treatment services are medically necessary, and the doctor will generally approve what type of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of treatment services. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual must be hospitalized for his or her issue, as well as the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation inside a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance or they'll have to self pay.
