Medicare is a form of health care insurance designed by the federal government for senior citizens, as well as people who have certain disabilities and sicknesses. If a person who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will be either covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only exception is, the individual must acquire treatment from your alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to begin rehabilitation, they will also have to see their physician who must state that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will generally approve what type of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehabilitation providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual has to be in a hospital for problem, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
