Medicare is a form of medical health insurance developed by the federal government for older persons, along with those that have certain disabilities and illnesses. If someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will be either covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The one catch is, the individual will have to acquire treatment from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin rehabilitation, they can also get to visit their doctor who must state that treatment services are medically necessary, and the doctor will generally approve what type of rehabilitation the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehabilitation providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program if the individual should be hospitalized for their problem, along with the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation inside a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
