Medicaid is a type of medical health insurance available for individuals who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to obtain this government provided insurance. Whether or not a person is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only depend upon income however, and people shouldn't assume they don't qualify simply because they make a reasonable income.
