Medicare is a form of health insurance created by the U.S. government for senior citizens, and also individuals with specific disabilities and diseases. If an individual who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of substance abuse, their treatment will either be covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The only real catch is, the person will have to obtain treatment from your alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to commence rehab, they will also have to see their primary care physician who must state that rehab services are medically necessary, and the physician will generally approve what type of treatment the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehab providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual has to be in a hospital because of their problem, as well as the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment within a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
