Medicare is a kind of medical health insurance designed by the U.S. government for seniors, along with those that have specific disabilities and illnesses. If a person that has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The one exception is, the individual will need to obtain treatment from the drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to begin rehab, they will also have to visit their doctor who must declare that treatment services are medically needed, and the doctor will generally approve what type of rehabilitation the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation providers. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program in the event that the individual must be in a hospital because of their issue, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation inside a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they will have to self pay.
