TRICARE is medical health insurance that is offered to individuals in the military of the United States. Substance abuse inside the military is more common than one would imagine, and the need to offer treatment to these individuals is a crucial priority. If an inpatient facility is the favored rehabilitation choice, TRICARE will cover a three week period or one inpatient stay in that center per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits concerning the length of time a TRICARE member can remain in an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30-45 day window that is covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment that may be very beneficial, as it may help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process.
