Outpatient rehab enables the rehabilitation client to participate in rehabilitation services with the same commitment one would normally have to consent to within an inpatient or residential drug rehab program. This doesn't often work in the rehabilitation client's favor however, specifically those individuals who need to resolve substantial drug abuse issues. So even though an outpatient rehab might appear to be an opportune possibility, it isn't for everyone. For a person with more serious addiction and dependency problems, inpatient or residential drug and alcohol treatment facilities which provide rehab on a long-term basis are going to be the more beneficial rehabilitation option.
