Medicare is a sort of medical insurance created by the federal government for older folks, and also those that have certain disabilities and illnesses. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The one catch is, the person must obtain treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start rehabilitation, they will also have to visit their medical doctor who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the doctor will generally approve what type of treatment the person will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehabilitation services. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual must be hospitalized for problem, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
