Medicaid is a health insurance available for individuals who are in certain income brackets which qualifies them to receive this government funded insurance. Whether or not somebody qualifies for Medicaid doesn't only depend on income however, and individuals shouldn't assume they don't qualify because they earn a good income. For example, individuals who have a lot of dependents may be entitled to Medicaid even if they earn what might be considered a reasonable income. Medicaid can also cover the expenses of rehab, if someone has been abusing alcohol or drugs and requires rehabilitation. There are several drug treatment facilities which accept Medicaid, but different states have distinct rules for what forms of rehab are covered. Some states only include outpatient rehabilitation services for example while other states cover more extensive treatment say for example a residential stay in long-term alcohol and drug rehabilitation center. If anyone is involved with drug use and needs help, they are able to use their Medicaid insurance coverage to obtain this treatment. If they don't have Medicaid plus don't have enough cash or another kind of health insurance to pay for rehabilitation, they can see if they qualify for Medicaid and then enroll in a drug rehabilitation program that's approved in their state.
