Medicare is a form of medical health insurance developed by the government for older folks, and also people with certain disabilities and illnesses. If a person who has Medicare needs rehab for cases of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The only catch is, the individual will have to obtain treatment from your alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to start rehabilitation, they will also have to visit their primary care physician who must state that treatment services are medically necessary, and the doctor will generally approve what type of rehab the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehab providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program in the event that the individual needs to be in a hospital for problem, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation inside a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance or they've got to self pay.
