Medicaid is a medical insurance available for many people who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to obtain this government provided insurance coverage. Whether a person is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only determined by their earnings however, and people shouldn't assume they don't qualify because they make an acceptable income. By way of example, people who have a lot of dependents may be entitled to Medicaid even when they make what might be considered a fair income. Some states only include outpatient rehabilitation services as an example while other states cover more extensive rehab say for example a residential stay in long-term drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. If a person is involved with substance abuse and needs help, they could use their Medicaid insurance coverage to get this treatment. If they do not have Medicaid and in addition don't have the cash or some other type of health care insurance to cover rehab, they can determine if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then sign up for an alcohol and drug rehab program which is approved in their state.
