TRICARE covers a variety of rehab services to deal with alcohol and drug dependence including detox services, and also rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient settings. People who have TRICARE will naturally have to have a prior authorization before partaking in any type of rehab service, that may be organized using their regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient center could be the favored treatment choice, TRICARE covers a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in this center per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are specific limits regarding how much time a TRICARE member can stay in an inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, and there's typically a 30 to 45 day window that is covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment which is often very useful, as it may help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process. No person in the military should fight this battle alone, and there are expert rehabilitation counselors standing by to help today.
