Medicare is a type of health insurance developed by the government for senior citizens, along with those that have certain disabilities and diseases. If an individual who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The only exception is, the individual must receive treatment from the drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to commence rehab, they can also get to see their medical doctor who must state that treatment services are medically necessary, and the doctor will generally approve what type of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of treatment solutions. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual should be in a hospital for issue, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
