Medicare is a type of medical insurance designed by the U.S. government for older persons, along with those that have certain disabilities and sicknesses. When someone who has Medicare needs rehab for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only catch is, the individual must obtain treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to commence treatment, they may also have to see their physician who must state that treatment services are medically needed, and the physician will generally approve which kind of rehab the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation services. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program in the event that the individual has to be in a hospital for issue, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
