Treatment counselors in the LGBT rehab will help clients fix relationships with their family, in the event their loved ones disagree with their sexual preference as is generally the case. This situation is certainly a frequent trigger for substance abuse, and is also a good example of something which would be handled in rehab. LGBT clients often only want to be accepted within their lives, and treatment will help them accept themselves and create confidence to enable them to lead a wholesome life free of drugs and alcohol.
