Medicare is a form of health care insurance designed by the federal government for senior citizens, as well as those that have specific disabilities and diseases. If a person that has Medicare needs rehab for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered entirely by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only real catch is, the individual will have to obtain treatment from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start rehabilitation, they will also have to see their medical doctor who must declare that rehab services are medically essential, and the doctor will usually approve what sort of treatment the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehabilitation solutions. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual needs to be in a hospital for their issue, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance or they will have to self pay.
