Having said that, drug and alcohol rehabilitation counselors who provide rehab to hearing impaired individuals understand the challenges that these clients face. ASL treatment services are of course a necessity, as are rehab services which address the unique challenges that hearing impaired individuals face. Group therapy offers a forum for important peer support so that rehabilitation clients can know that they're not alone, and that there's hope to handle their challenge with drugs and alcohol. Individual counseling services can be more tailored for each individual so that their particular challenges can be treated in rehabilitation.
