Individuals who are LGBT can feel alone, misunderstood, and considered socially unwanted. This can be a very difficult and painful way to live, and leads many LGBT individuals to a life of substance abuse to alleviate this pain. Somebody that is LGBT might not feel comfortable within a conventional rehab facility amongst folks who aren't experiencing the same problems they may be experiencing within their lives.
