Medicare is a form of health insurance developed by the federal government for seniors, in addition to people with certain disabilities and sicknesses. If someone that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant degree. The one catch is, the individual will need to acquire treatment from the alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to commence rehabilitation, they may also have to see their medical doctor who must declare that rehab services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve what type of rehabilitation the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of treatment solutions. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual needs to be hospitalized for their problem, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
