TRICARE is medical health insurance that's offered to people in the military of the United States. Drug and alcohol use inside the military is much more common than one would imagine, and the need to offer treatment to these individuals is an important priority. TRICARE covers many different treatment services to deal with drug and alcohol dependence such as detoxification services, along with rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. Those that have TRICARE will naturally need to obtain a prior approval before partaking in any type of rehabilitation service, that may be organized using a regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient program is the preferred treatment option, TRICARE covers a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in this particular center per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are particular limits as to how much time a TRICARE member can remain in an inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30-45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family treatment which may be very useful, as it may help include family members in the healing and process of recovery. No person in the military should struggle with this battle alone, and there are expert treatment counselors ready to help you today.
