Medicare is a form of health care insurance designed by the federal government for older folks, in addition to people with certain disabilities and illnesses. If someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered fully by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only real exception is, the person will have to acquire treatment from the alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to begin rehabilitation, they may also have to see their medical doctor who must state that rehab services are medically necessary, and the physician will generally approve what sort of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment providers. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility when the individual must be hospitalized for their problem, as well as the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient treatment inside a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance or they've got to self pay.
