Medicare is a type of medical health insurance developed by the federal government for seniors, in addition to people who have certain disabilities and sicknesses. When someone who has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The one exception is, the individual must receive treatment from the drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to commence rehabilitation, they can also get to see their primary care physician who must declare that treatment services are medically needed, and the doctor will generally approve what type of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of rehabilitation services. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center in the event that the individual should be in a hospital for problem, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as any other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
