Medicare is a form of medical health insurance designed by the government for older persons, as well as people with specific disabilities and sicknesses. If a person that has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their treatment will either be covered entirely by their Medicare health insurance or to a significant extent. The only exception is, the individual must acquire treatment from the alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to begin rehabilitation, they will also have to visit their medical doctor who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically essential, and the physician will usually approve what type of rehabilitation the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of treatment services. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center if the individual must be in a hospital for his or her issue, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are the same as any other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in the Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
