Hearing impaired men and women tend to have a heightened probability of substance abuse issues because of the impairment, and rehab services should be available which cater to their needs. Group therapy offers a forum for important peer support to ensure rehab clients can know they are not alone, and that there's hope to resolve their challenge with alcohol and drugs. Individual counseling services may be more tailored for each person to ensure their unique problems can be handled in treatment.
