Medicare is a sort of health insurance designed by the U.S. government for older persons, in addition to individuals with specific disabilities and sicknesses. If someone who has Medicare needs rehab for instances of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only real catch is, the individual must receive treatment from a drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be permitted to start rehab, they will also have to visit their doctor who must declare that rehab services are medically necessary, and the physician will generally approve what sort of treatment the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of treatment providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted program when the individual needs to be hospitalized for his or her issue, and the costs that they will have to cover personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient rehabilitation in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance or they've got to self pay.
