Medicaid is a kind of health insurance available for those who are in specific income brackets which qualifies them to obtain this government funded insurance. Whether or not someone is qualified for Medicaid doesn't only depend on income however, and people shouldn't assume they don't qualify because they earn a reasonable income. If a person is involved with substance abuse and wants help, they could use their Medicaid insurance coverage to get this help. If they don't have Medicaid and in addition don't have the cash or another form of health care insurance to cover rehabilitation, they could determine if they are eligible for a Medicaid and then sign up for an alcohol and drug treatment program that's approved within their state.
