Medicare is a type of medical health insurance developed by the U.S. government for seniors, along with individuals with certain disabilities and diseases. If a person who has Medicare needs rehab for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehabilitation will be either covered in full by their Medicare insurance or to a great extent. The only real catch is, the individual will need to acquire treatment from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to start rehab, they may also have to see their primary care physician who must state that rehab services are medically needed, and the doctor will usually approve which kind of treatment the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehabilitation solutions. Medicare Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility in the event that the individual must be in a hospital for his or her issue, and also the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation in a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
