Self pay is often times the only option for many who need rehab inside a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility for drug abuse but have no health care insurance. It isn't uncommon for a person dependent on drugs or alcohol to not have private medical health insurance, as it can be hard to keep a drug or alcohol habit going while also keeping employment.
