Medicare is a sort of health care insurance designed by the federal government for senior citizens, along with people with certain disabilities and sicknesses. If a person that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for cases of substance abuse, their rehabilitation will either be covered in full by their Medicare health insurance or to a great extent. The only real catch is, the individual will have to obtain treatment coming from an alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to commence rehab, they will also have to see their medical doctor who must state that treatment services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve what type of treatment the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehab services. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual needs to be in a hospital for his or her problem, and the costs which they willwill have to pay for personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehab inside a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't pay for with supplemental insurance or they're going to have to self pay.
