If an inpatient center will be the preferred treatment choice, TRICARE covers twenty-one days or one inpatient stay in that center per benefit period which is every 12 months. There are specific limits concerning how much time a TRICARE member can stay within an inpatient facility that accepts TRICARE, and there is typically a 30 to 45 day window which is covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy which can be very beneficial, as it can certainly help include loved ones in the healing and recovery process.
