Medicare is a form of health care insurance created by the federal government for senior citizens, as well as those that have specific disabilities and illnesses. If a person that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a great degree. The only real catch is, the person must obtain treatment from a drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of treatment providers. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual needs to be in a hospital for their problem, as well as the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other stay in a hospital. Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment inside a Medicare accepted center, and the individual will need to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplement insurance coverage or they'll have to self pay.
