Medicare is a type of health insurance developed by the federal government for seniors, in addition to those that have certain disabilities and diseases. When someone that has Medicare needs rehabilitation for instances of substance abuse, their treatment will be either covered completely by their Medicare insurance or to a great degree. The only exception is, the individual will have to acquire treatment from the alcohol and drugs detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be permitted to begin rehabilitation, they may also have to see their doctor who must declare that treatment services are medically needed, and the physician will typically approve what type of rehab the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover various kinds of treatment solutions. Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center when the individual has to be hospitalized for his or her issue, and the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation within a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they're going to have to self pay.
