Medicare is a sort of medical insurance developed by the government for older folks, along with people with specific disabilities and sicknesses. If a person who has Medicare needs treatment for instances of substance abuse, their rehab will be either covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a significant extent. The one catch is, the individual will have to receive treatment from the drug rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin treatment, they may also have to see their primary care physician who must state that rehabilitation services are medically essential, and the physician will generally approve what type of rehab the individual will take part in. Medicare Part An and Part B cover a variety of rehab services. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual has to be in a hospital for their problem, and also the costs which they willwill have to cover personally are identical to every other hospital stay. Part B will partially cover outpatient rehab in a Medicare accepted program, and the individual will need to cover whatever Part B doesn't pay for with supplement insurance coverage or they will have to self pay.
