A group home for anyone who has been involved in drug and alcohol abuse is a place which provides continuous support and assistance for folks in recovery. A group home is usually for troubled adolescents, but there's also group homes for people with a mental health problem or who are encountering behavioral trouble for example. As opposed to sending people who are experiencing substance abuse or recovering from substance abuse to an orphanage, asylum and other similar facility, a group home may help provide an acceptable environment to help maintain stability inside their lives and still have counsel and support within reach 24/7. People who reside in a group home could possibly be involved in rehab services whilst in residence, or may be taking actions to get their life setup outside of the group home to enable them to at one point live independently outside the group home. By way of example, a troubled youth that has been in recovery or has recovered from drug abusedrug use can try to get their GED or acquire employment. A group home is not necessarily a long-term or permanent solution, yet it's a feasible short term option for individuals who are attempting to get their lives back together.
