Medicare is a type of health insurance created by the U.S. government for older persons, as well as those that have certain disabilities and illnesses. If a person that has Medicare needs treatment for instances of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will either be covered completely by their Medicare health insurance or to a great degree. The only real catch is, the individual will have to obtain treatment from the drugs and alcohol detox facility which accepts Medicare. Before the person will be allowed to commence treatment, they can also get to see their doctor who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically needed, and the physician will usually approve what type of rehabilitation the person will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover several types of rehabilitation services. Part A covers an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted center in the event that the individual must be in a hospital for their problem, as well as the costs that they will have to cover personally are the same as every other hospital stay. Medicare Part B will partly cover outpatient rehabilitation in a Medicare accepted facility, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance or they will have to self pay.
