TRICARE is medical insurance that is offered to members of the armed forces of the United States. If an inpatient facility is the preferred rehab option, TRICARE covers 21 days or one inpatient stay in this program per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are certain limits concerning how long a TRICARE member can stay in an inpatient program that accepts TRICARE, then there is typically a 30-45 day window that's covered. TRICARE also covers family counselling which may be very helpful, as it could help include family members in the healing and process of recovery. No person in the military should fight this battle alone, and there are professional rehab counselors waiting to help today.
