A group home is usually for troubled youth, but there's also group homes for people with a mental health disorder or who are experiencing behavioral problems for example. As opposed to sending people who are being affected by drug abusedrug use or recovering from drug abuse to an orphanage, asylum or another similar facility, a group home will help provide an appropriate environment to help maintain stability in their lives and still have counsel and support within reach around the clock. Residents in the group home could possibly be involved in rehabilitation services during residence, or could possibly be taking actions to get their life setup outside of the group home to enable them to at some point live on their own outside the group home.
