TRICARE is health care insurance which is offered to folks in the armed forces of the United States. Drug abuse within the military is much more common than one would imagine, and the need to provide treatment to these individuals is an important priority. TRICARE covers a variety of rehab services to address drug and alcohol dependence including detoxification services, along with rehab in outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient facilities. Those that have TRICARE will obviously have to get a prior authorization before partaking in any sort of rehabilitation service, that may be organized using a regional TRICARE liaison. If an inpatient facility could be the preferred treatment option, TRICARE will cover a 3 week period or one inpatient stay in this facility per benefit period which is every 365 days. There are particular limits about how much time a TRICARE member can remain in an inpatient center that accepts TRICARE, then there is typically a 30 to 45 day window that is covered. TRICARE also covers family therapy that may be very useful, as it may help include loved ones in the healing and process of recovery. No member of the military should fight this battle alone, and there are expert treatment counselors standing by to assist you today.
