Medicare is a form of health care insurance designed by the U.S. government for seniors, along with people who have certain disabilities and illnesses. If an individual that has Medicare needs treatment for cases of drug or alcohol abuse, their rehab will be either covered fully by their Medicare insurance or to a significant degree. The only exception is, the person will have to obtain treatment from your alcohol and drugs rehab facility which accepts Medicare. Before the individual will be allowed to begin rehabilitation, they will also have to see their primary care physician who must declare that rehabilitation services are medically essential, and the physician will generally approve what type of treatment the individual will do. Medicare Part An and Part B cover different types of rehabilitation services. Medicare Part A pays for an inpatient stay in a Medicare accepted facility if the individual needs to be in a hospital for issue, along with the costs that they will have to pay for personally are identical to any other stay in a hospital. Medicare Part B will partially cover outpatient treatment in the Medicare accepted program, and the individual will have to cover whatever Medicare Part B doesn't cover with supplemental insurance coverage or they've got to self pay.
