A group home for somebody who has tbeen involved with drug abuse is a place which offers continuous support and help for those in recovery. A group home is usually for troubled youth, but there are also group homes for those with a mental health disorder or who are encountering behavioral problems for example. As opposed to sending those who are experiencing drug abusedrug use or recovering from drug abuse to an orphanage, asylum or any other similar place, a group home may help offer an acceptable environment to help maintain stability within their lives and still have counsel and support within reach around the clock. Residents in a group home could possibly be involved in rehab services whilst in residence, or may be taking actions to get their life setup outside of the group home to be able to at some point live on their own outside of the group home. For example, a troubled youth that has been in recovery or has recovered from drug abusedrug use can try to get their GED or obtain work. A group home is not necessarily a long-term or permanent option, yet it's a viable short-term option for those who making the effort to get their lives back together again.
